Probably the most familiar face of Chris, due to this design getting used in a mainline game, two MVC games, and DBD.
It’s probably my favorite design overall, like this is peak Chris to me esp because I paid more attention to RE characters rather than just the monsters when MVC3 came out. While we lost the 80’s action hero look, Chris became a different type of superhero with arms bigger than his head, and in-universe jokes about him being a gorilla. (or punching boulders if you get the English localizations :P)
I like his oiled up wrestler tan, messy hair, and unshaved facial hair. Not quite the depression beard of RE6 and 8, and I like that it looks like he’s still TRYING to shave but he forgors. It’s the same face scan as RE1R, but they made him more expressive and cute. Just look at his curly smile!!! He really is baby gorilla <3
Most of all, I like that they designed Chris and Wesker as a pair, so they’d contrast each other in the same game. Wesker is slimmer, taller, and paler with a cold personality. Chris is chungus, and he still has warmth in his heart with the hopeful ending of RE5 after he blasts Wesker’s head off and rides off with his BEST FRIENDS Jill and Sheva!! The characters even state Wesker is a hateful loser with no friends, and that’s why he loses despite having god powers LOL. |  |
